Humanitarian aid to be delivered from the USA for the IDPs living in the Kharkiv region

Support to internally displaced persons will be one of the areas of cooperation between the Kharkiv Regional State Administration and the Ukraine-USA Foundation. This issue was discussed on May 19 during the meeting of Kharkiv Regional State Administration Chairman Igor Rainin with the Fund’s management.
“A lot of people are looking at Washington and the Obama administration, Congress, what’s happening” on the hills, “but underestimate how ordinary Americans are willing to help Ukraine. There’s a huge resource of goodwill. The involvement of humanitarian aid can be done, and we are doing it. Today we sent our first container to the Dnepropetrovsk region, the second one is being prepared. With systematic work in Washington, this can be done very quickly and effectively, “explained the vice president of the Ukraine-USA Foundation Markian Belinsky.
“Assistance with settlers is very important for us. All that is needed for this on our part, will be fulfilled, “- said Igor Rainin.
According to the information of the deputy chairman of HRSA Yulia Svetlichnaya, information on what kind of humanitarian aid is needed first of all will be collected, taking into account, among other things, the proposals of public organizations and volunteers.
“This is a fairly large amount of humanitarian aid, which will be sent from the United States by containers. The smallest container will hold goods worth about half a million dollars, “- said Yulia Svetlichnaya.
